Julie Barsam-Cummings
Board Member
Julie Barsam-Cummings has been involved in Waldorf education for over 20 years. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Tufts University and completed her Waldorf teacher training at Antioch University. She is also a graduate of the Association for a Healing Education (AHE) Educational Support Training Program.
She began her Waldorf journey as a parent before transitioning to a teaching role at the Waldorf School of Lexington. She has also served as a Class Teacher at the Austin Waldorf School and the Maine Coast Waldorf School. In addition to classroom responsibilities, she serves on accreditation teams for both the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). She holds a particular passion for the Extra Lesson and its capacity to support the developmental needs of both children and adults.
